Tung's group classes bring people together around Ashtanga, yin yoga, stretching, inversions and backbends. The collective breathing creates rhythm, beginners learn by watching more experienced students, and everyone finds motivation in shared commitment. Classes run at Tung's studios in Yuen Long and Tsuen Wan, with around 10 students per session.
Some of Tung's students have become close friends through group class. You practise next to the same people each week, share struggles and breakthroughs, and build real connections.
In group class, you see how different people adapt poses to their bodies. Some days you follow the strong student, other days you learn from someone taking it easy.
When you know your yoga friends expect to see you, it's easier to show up. Group energy carries you through tough days when solo practice feels impossible.
Tung teaches a range of styles in group format — yin yoga for deep release, backbending for strength, stretching and myofascial release for recovery, inversions for confidence, and Ashtanga for traditional practice. Here's what makes classes at the Yuen Long and Tsuen Wan studios special:
You arrive to see familiar faces setting up their mats. The class starts together, moves together, and breathes together. Tung walks around giving adjustments while keeping everyone at the same pace. It's like a dance where everyone knows they belong.
Hold poses for 3-5 minutes while using props. Great when your body feels tight from sitting all day or after sports. The group's collective stillness helps you stay in challenging poses longer than you would alone.
Build strength and open your heart. Everyone struggles with backbends, so the group encouragement gets you further than practising alone. The class works up to bigger poses together.
Build the strength and confidence to go upside down. Tung breaks down headstand, forearm stand and shoulder stand step by step, with wall support and spotting so you feel safe to try.
Gentle movements, stretching and myofascial release to unwind tension from daily stress. Using props, balls and rollers, the class works through tight spots so you leave feeling looser and calmer.
Traditional Ashtanga — the method Tung learned in Mysore. He teaches both the self-paced Mysore style and the Led counted class, breaking down each pose so you build a solid, authentic practice.
First-timers always welcome. Arrive 10 minutes early and Tung will help you get settled.
Join ClassesNo need to be perfect — everyone remembers their first class. Tung will save you a spot in the back if you like, or front row if you're feeling brave. Either way, you'll leave feeling like you belong.
