Today I'm honored to have Moon from Korea join me to demonstrate and break down Marichyasana C (Sage Twist C) with four essential tips! 💡


Marichyasana C Yoga Technique

Four Key Techniques

1. Foot Placement

When you're starting out, it's easy to place your foot too far forward, making the pose feel much harder. Pull your foot as close to your sitting bone as possible for better stability.

2. Internal Rotation of the Extended Leg

The straight leg tends to roll outward when relaxed. Actively internally rotate it to keep your body balanced.

3. Foot and Toe Adjustment

Don't neglect your feet! Internally rotate the foot, flex it toward you, and keep the toes pointing up to fully activate both legs.

4. Spinal Extension Before Twisting

Don't rush into the twist. Inhale first and lengthen your spine upward, then enter the twist. Once you're there, extend your arm, internally rotate to wrap around the leg, and clasp your hands to complete the full expression.
